One of my favorite dynamics is partners-in-crimes, lovers but also best friends, enabler and the enabled, goofy silly dumbasses perhaps, and that Mal maze scene fed me VERY WELL.

‘Kindred started out too rushed. MC goes from living a normal life not knowing that magic exists to suddenly being locked in her childhood home with her sister she’s never met & practicing magic with the random regular customer who has revealed himself to be a magical Guardian - and she’s just completely fine with all of it? No questions, no hesitation, just all in. The breakneck pace makes the book unreadable honestly.’
POST/CONFESSIONS DO NOT REFLECT THE MOD’S PERSONAL OPINIONS!
idc it’s fun and cute and kaine is a top 10 choices li for me
Hi, love your love towards itlivesproject and your it lives within content. Are you also excited for the other upcoming sequel game projects like @ bloodboundthesiege , @ nightboundfanfiction, etc
Thanks anon- I love you and your sweet message 🖤🖤🖤
I’m hella excited for the other fanmade projects! With the conclusion of ILW, I don’t think I’m alone in trying to find the next series to hyperfixate on lol
@immortaldesiresproject - was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed book 1; not a unique opinion to have, but I thought the ending left so many loose ends.
Not sure how PB will handle the sequel, but what I’ve seen so far from the fan project looks amazing! The outfits 😭😭 I’m very curious to see how each will handle the aftermath of MC’s turning and their relationship between gabe/cas/both

@bloodboundsiege I downloaded the demo and am excited to check it out! I will admit that I’m still in the process of finishing the series (currently halfway through book 2). Personally, I didn’t gravitate towards Bloodbound as much when it was first released. However, I’m having a good time in this recent playthrough- I might just find a playthrough on YouTube bc I’m impatient and want to fully appreciate the demo lol

@thedistantshoresproject Distant Shores, my beloved. It’s been so long since I’ve played the original book, but I remember it being one of my favorites. The possibility of romancing Oliver again is too good for me to not keep an eye on this project ☺

@nightboundfanfiction Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to play Nightbound yet, so I haven’t been looking at this project too closely. I’ve heard wonderful things about the book (the classic PB story of an amazing standalone that deserved more). But if anyone who follows me didn’t know about this, here ya go besties 🖤

@lawsofattraction3 Fairly new addition to the fanmade project renaissance, but I will be keeping an eye on this one. Joaquin deserved more lol. Y'all might be familiar with @oh-so-youre-a-nerd (Thia)- They’ve done amazing artwork for ILW (the ILW but make it tarot series is stunning) and they are currently part of this team as a CG artist 🖤
A big, warm hug to the creators of all these projects- I wish you all luck as you continue creating wonderful content for everyone to enjoy☺
I've been wondering this for a while... now that the team has pulled off an entire book with four canon, well-developed LIs, well-written, non-repetitive sex scenes, ample customization options for MC (body types, trans inclusivity, hijabs, tattoos, moles, freckles, many outfits and hairstyles, etc.), multiple possible endings, scores that determine important character interactions (such as the infidelity routes), and everything else you've accomplished with ILW, do you now feel more respect for the people over at Pixelberry and the content they put out, or do you resent PB for not putting in the effort to produce what you've now proven is, though complicated, completely doable?
Speaking for myself…
Frankly, I think PB has no excuse. I understand that they’re a company that has to minimize costs while maximizing profits and spending a lot of time on a book is expensive, but there are a lot of things you can do—simple things—to make the experience more enjoyable for players. Honestly, a lot of the stuff people think is complicated, like programming in jealousy or remembering player choices or changing sex scenes based on anatomy or altering narration to match character appearance, is really not complicated at all. You just have to plan everything out thoroughly and then write out everything that has been planned. I do think that we were a lot more complex and thorough than PB could or would ever be, and that’s okay, but there’s also a ton of simple stuff that they could do to give their players more impact over the story. And the fact that they don’t… well sometimes I just feel like this:
are all blood/shadow choices worth the same amount of points? if some are worth more than one point for the corresponding path, is there a way to know which and how many?
All blood/shadow choices worth the same amount of point (which is 1 point for each choice). The fight with the monster fish in c14 is a good spot to know if you have more shadow points, more blood points or relatively balance. 🎣
